The Chicago River North Real Estate and River North Condo Market took a considerable dive as did the rest of the Chicagoland real estate market.. While the River North Real Estate Market hasn't completely fallen off the face of the earth, the River North Condo prices have slowly dipped over the last two years..
The latest project that got scrapped because of the economy and the current Chicago Real Estate conditions were the River North Condos that were supposed to be built by Lennar. Unfortunately, due to the economy those River North Condos were not built. Instead Lennar dumped the project and a new developer took over.

The building was supposed to be completely finished by June 2010, but that is not the case.. There are still workers in the building trying to get it finished. The building has a little over 200 rental units and half of them are rented out.. This is a full service River North Apartment Rental Building. There is a decent work out center in the builidng that is open 24 hours, there is a doorman, a theater room and a cyber cafe. The units are modern and highly updated. Part of the property that is owned by the current developer will be turned into a park.. Which is always a pleasant site when compared to another highrise
In terms of River North Apartment Rental Prices, you can definetely find less expensive rental properties in River North than what the leasing department of Parc Huron is asking for
1Bed/1bath...Indoor Parking..Utilities: $2400
2Bed/2Bath..Indoor Parking..Utiities: $3000
The Parc Huron Condos are definetely sharp lookingng and decent size ( Except for the junior 1 bedroom layout, the living room is the size of a walk in closet) and you get a full service building. However, you are paying top dollar for these rental properties.. If you want a new building and dont care about how much the rent is, then Parc Huron could be the building for you!
