The Montgomery Ward Park is just one of the many reasons why people love living in the River North Neighborhood, more specifically the Kingsbury - Ontario Corridor area of River North. Formerly known as The River Walk Park and Erie Park, The Mongtomery Ward Park was completed in 2003 and is located at the intersection of Kingsbury and Ontario!
Montgomery Park is situated on 3 acres of beautifully maintained land with rolling hills, trees and green grass. The park also stretches along the north branch of the Chicago River. At the base of the park there is a river walk that follows the path of the Chicago River. The location of this park was one of the main reasons I decided to move to the Kingsbury-Ontario corridor of the River North Neighborhood.. I mean, how many spots in the city can you walk outside of your condo and you literally have a park right across the street?
In additon to enjoying the scenary of the park, movies are played on a massive screen in the park during the summer and they have recently added a full size playground for kids.. Mongtomery Ward Park is NOT a dog friendly park thank fully.. There are 2 dog parks within a few blocks of the park though
